This week we¡¯d like to feature Chi-Ping Liu, a Íæż½ã½ã applications development engineer, who models ¨C and not in the typical sense of the word. Instead of posing for photographs, he helps model simulations for customers.
An expert in research and development, Chi-Ping is based in Taiwan and helps drive innovation through best known methods for ADI/AEI HS (after-develop inspection/after-etch inspection hotspot) analysis from lithography to etch simulation modeling. Chi-Ping is also responsible for providing local technical support, product marketing and managing customer relationships in Asia.
Instead of providing physical inspections, Chi-Ping has been focused on building simulation models that use light-waves for our customers¡¯ future product ideas.
¡°Simulations help us speed up product innovation by complementing the hardware infrastructure. All of this ultimately benefits our customers.¡±
Chi-Ping said most of his team is based in the U.S. but their customer base spans across the globe. Because of the global demand for Íæż½ã½ã¡¯s solutions, teams are often comprised of individuals from different states, countries and continents. He joked that the greatest challenge is not in advancing humanity ¨C it¡¯s finding times to meet that make sense across time zones.
When asked to describe Íæż½ã½ã in two words, Chi-Ping said ¡°diverse¡± and ¡°multidisciplinary.¡± At Íæż½ã½ã, we build high-performing teams with both diversity of background and skillset in mind.
